Get help with Focus Box: connect Gmail or Outlook, configure priority rules, manage your subscription, and contact support.

What Focus Box does

Focus Box is an AI-powered email triage service that connects to your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook inbox. As new messages arrive, Focus Box classifies each one into four priority levels — Urgent, High, Medium, and Low — and applies the matching Gmail Label or Outlook Category so the priority is visible in your existing inbox.

There is no separate app to check. Open Gmail or Outlook the way you already do, and the priority tags are already there.

Supported Gmail and Outlook account types

Focus Box supports personal Gmail accounts (any @gmail.com address) and Google Workspace accounts where the account owner has authorized Focus Box to access the mailbox.

For Microsoft, Focus Box supports personal accounts including @hotmail.com, @live.com, and @outlook.com, plus Microsoft 365 / Exchange work accounts where the account owner has granted access. After signing in, you can confirm or revoke Focus Box access at any time from your account's Connected Apps settings.

How priority labels and categories work

Focus Box classifies every incoming message into one of four priority buckets: Urgent, High, Medium, and Low. In Gmail, Focus Box creates and applies matching labels. In Outlook, Focus Box applies matching Categories. The labels and categories appear next to each message in your existing inbox view.

You can change how Focus Box classifies messages in two ways: by configuring sender-to-priority email rules, and by adjusting the custom AI prompt that Focus Box uses for the overall classification task.

Safety Net Digest

In addition to in-inbox labels and categories, Focus Box can send a daily summary email listing any unread messages Focus Box classified as Urgent or High. The Safety Net Digest is meant as a backup: if you were away from your inbox, the digest surfaces what still needs attention the next morning.

You can enable, disable, and configure the digest delivery time from the Digest section of Settings inside Focus Box.

Email rules

Email rules let you map specific senders (or sender domains) to a specific priority, regardless of how Focus Box would otherwise classify the message. Rules always override the AI prompt for matching senders.

Add and manage rules from the Rules section of Settings inside Focus Box.

Trial, billing, and cancellation

Focus Box starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial.

After the trial, plans are $4.99 per month or $20 per year (limited time offer). Billing is managed through Lemon Squeezy. To cancel or update your subscription, open Settings inside Focus Box and use the Manage billing action, which takes you to the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

If your trial expires without a subscription, Focus Box stops processing new mail. Any labels or categories already applied remain in your inbox.

Privacy and data handling

Focus Box is private by design. Sender, subject, and body content are processed in real time to classify a message and then discarded. Only the provider's unique email ID is retained so Focus Box can avoid reclassifying the same email. Email content is never stored on Focus Box servers.

OAuth tokens are encrypted before they are written to the database. Focus Box never stores payment card details; billing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.
