Gmail Email Triage
How Focus Box applies Gmail Labels so urgent, high, medium, and low priority messages stand out in your existing Gmail inbox.
How Gmail triage works
Focus Box connects to your Gmail account through Google's secure OAuth flow. As new messages arrive, Focus Box classifies each one into four priority levels — Urgent, High, Medium, and Low — and applies the matching Gmail Label so the priority shows up in your existing Gmail inbox. Nothing changes about how you read or send mail; the priority is just visible.
Real-time, in your existing inbox
Triage happens automatically as messages arrive — there is no new app to open and no separate inbox to check. Open Gmail the way you always do, and the priority labels are already there.
Privacy by design
Sender, subject, and body content are processed in real time to classify the message and then discarded. Only the provider's unique email ID is retained so Focus Box can avoid reclassifying the same email. Email content is never stored on Focus Box servers. OAuth tokens are encrypted before they are written to the database.
See the full Privacy Policy for details on data handling and retention.
