Email Rules

Create sender-to-priority overrides in Focus Box so specific senders are always sorted into the priority you choose.

What email rules are

Email rules let you pin specific senders to a specific priority level, regardless of how Focus Box would otherwise classify them. Rules always override the default classification for messages from matching senders.

Illustrative example

Suppose your most important client emails you from [email protected]. Add an email rule mapping that address to Urgent, and every message from that sender will be labelled Urgent in your inbox — no matter what the message is about.

Addresses shown above are examples only.

Rules versus the custom AI prompt

Email rules are simple sender-to-priority mappings. The custom AI prompt, configured separately in Settings, lets you describe in your own words how Focus Box should classify messages overall. Rules override the result of the AI prompt for matching senders.

Setup help

Add and manage rules from the Rules section of Settings inside Focus Box. See the Help Center for step-by-step instructions.
